2️⃣Because it’s a very different way of thinking about reading compared to ‘whole language’, ‘balanced literacy’ and disability-focused models. Thinking Reading tutors have to change the way that they think about reading.

3. We love hearing these success stories. But we are not surprised. Our promise to our partner schools is that the students they think can’t learn to read, will learn to read. Not only that: they will catch up rapidly — and completely.

2. All 11 students in Year 7 who were reading well behind have now caught up completely, with gains from 2.5 to 7.5 years. This cohort of students will now be able to move forward with less need for support, and more ambition in classroom learning. No child left behind 📚
