This is also an excuse to post one of my fave news clips of all time. Right after the decision was handed down, David Boies (one of the lawyers who won) went on CBS news with a prominent bigot and ripped him to shreds. “The witness stand is a lonely place to lie.”

The lawsuit he funded, filed by the two superstar lawyers he recruited on behalf of plaintiffs he found, led to (IMHO) the best, most well grounded and irrefutable legal opinion justifying marriage equality: Judge Vaughn Walker’s decision in the case ultimately known as “Hollingsworth v Perry.”

I remember when that originally aired. Like others, I think about it every day putting on my socks.

BUT, the rest of that episode is INCREDIBLE. When Archie talks about his childhood and being called "shoe-bootie." Some of the best television ever!
