Here’s a short poem about the power of poetry to change the world.
My 11 yo son the feminist. At dinner he announces that Afghan women don’t have rights. Then he asks if there’s a society where women are treated like gods and men as slaves. I say no. He flips the question and realises the answer. He’s baffled by it. I tell him he’s gonna be one of the good ones.

I was stressing about money today. Then I opened my door and heard the birds. The sun was setting over the rolling hills beyond my patio as the mist began rolling in. It reminded me that as long as the sky is still there, it’ll be okay. We’ll be okay.
