“Capitalism”, “Communism”, and “anarcho-see-above" are dead arguments. The problem's always been the rich, their minions, and their scams.

Relatedly: I am continually enraged when I think about all the public resources — and public servants' time — Trump has consumed throughout his lifetime. Another recent case: better to clog up the court system and waste grand juries' time than to risk angering the Tinpot Tyrant.

Eugenics was one of many attempts to launder “what assholes know” into authoritative math and engineering. The numbers in the research were always made up or made more of than was supported, but because the bullshit was so thick and well-funded people felt they had less ground to be skeptical.

I don’t know how ya’ll will unfuck yourself from the meathook you’ve climbed up on. But it will not come from the rest of us. We have been abused at your hands long enough. You’re going to have to un-impale yourselves. That shit’s disgusting and it’s not our job. Can I get back to my _real_ job now?

to air anything out in public, despite having the powers of an international intelligence organization and a public pulpit in every city in “their” territory. Those powers are reserved for times of crisis, and almost always those powers are reserved for the side which benefits the clergy.

the “nice” priest who, without ever really being completely honest and open about the abuses inherent to their sect’s dogmatically-defined culture, will nonetheless try to ensure that abuses are curbed without justice being thwarted. The fact that they fail all the time because they aren’t allowed

When I Love Lucy and The Honeymooners and my own parents marriage clicked into place with each other, then I knew that the kind of weird uncritical use of the bibble to condition people to domestic abuse… was so very very uncool. Evil.

In a way it cultivates a muddle of minds that at best produces

I didn’t take it so serious. The bibble itself? I got through to about the bits about Abraham (I think?) and I was like, oh. Now I understand why I Love Lucy had this weird violent structure of power to the marriage. What a weird thing to have to confine the idea of marriage within a religion.

You don’t even read the bibble itself. I don’t blame you. At least when I made it my goal to watch all 200+ episodes of Stargate I knew I’d be rolling my eyes at the turgid TV conventions of the 80s and their not-very-direct-and-sometimes-mealy-mouthed responses of the late 90s and 00s.

It’s not so bad though. It’s not like no one’s ever be had so completely as you guys. Like I said, it happens every generation. Every generation you fucking nutjobs make more of yourselves by your weird cultureless adoration of a 100-level textbook in Myths and Legends of One Particular Tribe.

spooked by some attempt to make the world better/less-worse and then just by some kind of conditioning, throw all their wealth behind the very worst of the worst of the bigoted nativist anti-science cocksucking blowjob salesmen of that particular generation.

religious history of this country? It doesn’t work. It destroys so many lives in every generation and the only reason it has these resurgences is when the rich people (who don’t really give a fuck about religion, as a class, but drill their kids in it all the same and expect different results) get

ions, just ask the question yourself and think about when you were a child, what is it about the conditioning you received about prayer that you remember. Marinade in that. Don’t bother telling me or going to the prayer chat room, just discuss it with yourself. What do you remember...
