Nearly 3 million more people voted in 2016 for the person who didn't win. That's obviously not a one-person, one-vote situation -- it's a manufactured complexity for obfuscation situation.

They do have a say. The Senate is undemocratic for exactly that reason. There's no reason for the representative half of the legislature to be capped at an arbitrary number to give rural people an outsized say in legislation.
As for the chief executive, "one person, one vote" is a sound idea.

Making women suffer because you're not competing effectively is... bad. And just because there are people willing to tell you to go ahead and be sexist doesn't make it okay.
