Surprise! Surprise! Moon involved in outrage by Derek Johnson. It would appear that backstage at one of the Oo’s concerts in Chicago, Moon acquired a policeman’s uniform. The story goes on that he purchased it for 300 dollars from one of the local precinct who’d been detailed to protect the band, leaving the cop standing guard outside their dressing room clad only in underpants, socks and gun-belt! The mind boggles at the reaction of the local Kojak when he returned to headquarters. Moon has subsequently been putting the uniform to good use. The Oo’s itinerary has taken them to c couple of “dry” states, where he has taken the opportunity of confiscating contraband alcohol from members of the audience. What eventually became of this liquor is anyone’s guess. He has also taken to patrolling queues outside concert halls where the band are appearing and has been spotted searching likely looking suspects for “certain substances.”

Pete Townshend, The Omni, Atlanta Nov. 24 1975 Atlanta Journal Nov. 25 1975. Atlanta Knows Who’s ‘Who’ by Scott Cain. Members of the Who gave a tremendous performance at the Omni Monday night. In effect, the group did four encores. The audience, which endured great discomfort owing to the chaotic seating arrangement, simply would not let the band leave. For intensity, the concert would be difficult to duplicate. The Who didn’t let up for a minute, leaping from one powerful arrangement to another. The band seemed like an army, although the four members used hardly any visual or aural supplementation. Roger Daltrey, the singer, was like a drum major leading a parade. With his great, golden mane and his astonishing athletic vigor, he radiated a high energy level. He was unable to remain still for a moment, prowling the stage in the few moments when his voice was not in use. Daltrey’s sheer lung capacity was used more than his vocal finesse, rock concerts being what they are, and it’s testament to his fortitude that he was still going strong at the end of a two-hour set. Daltrey’s presence was matched stunt for stunt by Pete Townshend, the Who’s legendary lead guitarist and principal songwriter. While Daltrey made maximum use of his celebrated microphone-twirling stunt, Townshend trotted out his own repertoire of antics. It is a mark of his genius that they seem as fresh as they did in the beginning of the Who’s legendary career.

This is bloody everywhere and I didn’t make any nasty comments about Roger when I got fired. . I think it’s about the public comments about Roger on my Instagram - which I have taken down . And I didn’t think Roger was having a go at me on stage because he was shouting into a special microphone that he only uses to communicate with the sound guy. There was no conflict and no argument before the show or after as I was in my car on my way home before Pete and Roger had finished the last song ‘Tea and Theatre’ which is an acoustic duet and doesn’t feature any of the band .. I thought the gig was ok . I had no idea about getting fired or any problems at all until a week after the show. So either the times misunderstood or…confusion reigns O’er me and everyone else ! I thought this had blown over . The who has a new drummer they’ve played some shows they’re about to do their farewell tour… so this is old news and it’s completely wrong. When I first saw it I was gonna leave it but now it’s been picked up by every outlet in the cosmos it’s a bit annoying cos it’s bollox .. I love Roger and he’s a fucking amazing singer - we go back too long for grudges

Who make drastic policy changes. Re-recording holds up first LP: THE WHO have delayed the release of their first LP due to a last-minute musical policy change. This drastic move has resulted in the group re-recording nearly all of the LP tracks. The record was to have been released in the US four weeks ago but was cancelled. Says Who manager Kit Lambert: "The Who are having serious doubts about the state of R&B. Now the LP material will consist of hard pop. They've finished with 'Smokestack Lightnin'!" The main contents of the album will now be originals written by guitarist Pete Townshend, and singer Roger Daltrey. The LP should be released in early September.

Curbishley will reveal all about the rock scene from the '70s to the '90s, and what it wfas like managing the Who and Led Zep. In 1994, Curbishley assumed management of guitarist Jimmy Page, and in the same year, was integral in the reuniting of Page and Plant, both former members of Led Zeppelin.
