I've been doing a personal project to implement a playable version of a 16th century game (Metromachia), and the parallels are funny. You have to ask really fundamental questions like "what even is a 'turn' really" and there's no clear answer.

Apparently I only learned how to repeat it and not how to abide its wisdom, because here I am just reading things with my only eyes as if I won't come to regret it.

Kinda goes along with my opinion that "moderates" are just reactionaries. Being a "moderate" isn't a real political position because it can only exist in response to other positions. Centrists are constantly infuriating because they don't actually believe in anything.

I'm kind of baffled how the "moderates" have apparently all decided to turn against climate policy at once, just as China reaches green electrostate liftoff mode. I thought these people were all about National Greatness and making Hard Choices

I am eternally flummoxed by people in hobby spaces who balk at the idea of things costing money. Like I get it, life keeps getting more expensive, but if you want to enjoy creative output then you need to duly compensate creators.
