We've a tradition of choosing a theme, then everyone makes something- haven't done turkey in decades. This year's theme: recipes from books/series. These are the cookbooks i'm using. "Recipes for Murder" is based on Agatha Christie's books.

I'm literally reading the same Dorothy Sayers book for the 4th or 5th time in about 6 weeks, if that much. Hard to find REALLY good writing, that grabs my attention AND educates me in terms of being able to see myself in traits of the characters. #reading #books #writing

Met sis at county assessor's office this a.m. WEIRD prop tax refund ✔️ made out to me & one brother's trust, with old address on ✔️and mailed to sister who paid tax on property co-owned by 4 siblings... 👀👀👀🤣🙄 SO fucked up. And this is the sign for the door. Only laugh i had so far.

I'm speechless, awed & THRILLED. I think these are ORACLE oaks, a cross of evergreen live oak & deciduous black oak. Telltale features: what looks like black oak leaf with spiny tips. Come fall, i'll know, as they don't lose leaves.
