With all of this written. Happy 20th to in my opinion, the greatest console that stands tall with the likes of the PS2, a console that brought many people together and a time capsule of a bygone era.

Xbox Live was also a game changer and it was my first real "online gaming" experience, I made so many friends, some have moved onto better things, and some i still talk to, to this very day.

This was early internet, a real sense of community that i feel no other era of gaming after can quite get.

It's quite hard to explain to people who weren't *there* for it and what the energy at the time felt like.

Gears 1 and Halo 3 were being marketed *everywhere* i can still remember as a kid when i saw a massive Halo 3 billboard in person in my local city, it was wild seeing games get that attention
