What impressed me most is how seamlessly the private residential buildings weave into the campus fabric; it feels like you’re just in a Chelsea neighborhood, not an isolated, stuffy campus.

I got to tour the grounds during Open House New York last month, and honestly, this “quiet” campus in Chelsea I’ve walked by so many times is small but has beautiful cloisters, gardens, and an architectural mix that feels like nowhere else in Manhattan.

Vanderbilt University will lease the campus from the General Theological Seminary for the next century, saving the campus from becoming abandoned and giving it new life and connecting students and faculty with opportunities only available in NYC.

Seventeen historic buildings surround one of the most peaceful courtyards in the city, a private park leading to this gorgeous chapel that centers the campus.

Built in the late 19th century, the campus in Manhattan’s Chelsea neighborhood is a masterpiece, a patchwork of architects and eras that tells the story of New York at every chapter of the city’s life.

Vanderbilt University’s new campus, its first outside of Nashville in the institution's 150-year history, is absolutely stunning, and it’s hidden in plain sight.

So we got 218 votes for a discharge petition to release the Epstein files for Congress to unanimously pass them? Why wasn’t there unanimous backing for the original discharge petition?

The transformation of Williamsburg’s Domino Park over the past decade has been insane.

Due to this country's lack of state capacity for projects like high-speed rail, experts were able to save fourteen billion dollars in project costs by altering designs that had been based on freight-rail standards.

In-house capacity saves money!

When I watch a Godzilla, superhero, or Transformers film, I’m always thinking about the financial, logistical, and economic hurdles of the destruction.

Who pays to rebuild Chicago after it’s been leveled in a Transformers movie?

What do you think is the smallest city/metro that could support one or two-line light rail system?

I’m really excited about the NYC Ferry route optimization plan announced today, which will go into effect next month.

The new network (1st image) will provide direct connections from Queens to the Bronx and Staten Island to Brooklyn, and it will help alleviate crowding on the E. River. Thoughts?

I’m not sure what it says about the state of U.S. transit, but only five states move more people by rail each day than the people mover at Atlanta’s airport. By my estimate, it’s one of the most efficient rail systems in the world.

For all the traffic issues that Woodbury Commons has been dealing with, how come there’s no infill train station that serves the outlets directly on the Port Jervis Line? It seems like low-hanging fruit, no?

Why did NYC vote against Prop 1, which was literally to "maintain and build winter sports facilities on what is currently protected forest land in exchange for the state’s dedicating 2,500 acres of new protected land elsewhere in the Adirondack Mountains"?

How is Staten Island against creating a digital map of the city lmao?!

Running weekend service during the NYC marathon was certainly a choice.

Even though the 2016 plan was unanimously approved with more units, it took years of back-and-forth between City Hall and the Council to make units more deeply affordable, while cutting the total number of homes!

It will have taken 10 years for the 100% affordable, 167-unit Phipps Houses project in Sunnyside to go from concept to keys in the door (opening 2026). It replaces a parking lot next to the train tracks. If NYC's Props 2–4 pass, it could’ve been done in a few years.
