Just another body washed up on the shore of cyber space.
A fun juxtaposition of news stories, warships with frikin' laser beams which a Space Marine watches shooing into the sky.

My first car was a black 1979 Ford Capri S, which cost me a whole £150.
It turned out not to be as solid as the hedge it hit, and that's how I learned that it's worth replacing 20 year old tires even if it seems expensive. I'm still sad about that lesson.

I've been carrying these around for half a lifetime.

And lurking way in the back, a potential new candidate for the Sickos meme.

"Gimme a minute, just gotta get my breath back, I'll be there in a jiffy".
February 5, 2025 at 11:51 AM
This guy at the back, "You guys seem to have got this, I'll uh, just be over here if you need me".
February 5, 2025 at 11:50 AM
But my favorite has to be this guy, pulling the classic "Awww, what was I thinking?" pose while a boltshell rips through his chest. "A flintlock pistol Derrick? Charge the Space Marine with a flintlock pistol, is that the best I could come up with? What am I going to tell my wife!?"
February 5, 2025 at 11:46 AM
There's this helpful chap, "Look, there he is, shoot him, shoot him with your gun!"
I guess the guy with the flintlock is replying "Dude, you've got a frickin' autopistol right there, I have one highly inaccurate shot before I have to attempt to club him to death. You bloody shoot him!"
February 5, 2025 at 11:46 AM
This guy decided that the best way to tackle a power armoured genetically enhanced super-soldier was with a flintlock carbine. Good luck with that one shot buddy. Good job the Marine left his helmet at home I guess.

The Space Marine has a very short golden arm. I guess he lost it somewhere, and decided that a golden fist was all he really needed, as long as the enemy get close enough anyway.

This White Dwarf cover has always intrigued me, what on earth is going on between this Space Marine, and these presumably Necromunda gangers?

A few shots of the complete Gaslands Batmobile, I have a few further ideas what I want to add but don't currently have the parts.

The Gaslands Batmobile has been treated with a nice layer of rust of many colours. Sponged on with the darkest shade covering most of the model in varying degrees and working back to the lightest where the corrosion is most active. Now for some photos.

Gaslands Batmobile mainly assembled. Primed black and dry brushed silver. It looks much darker in person, but I will likely go over it with a black wash tomorrow and then have a lovely day of painting rust all over it.

A little pointless interior painting while the bodyshell dries and gets fitted hiding it all forever.

Now that's an engine worthy of Gaslands Batman. Who needs to see behind you anyway?
February 1, 2025 at 11:52 AM
Found some nice chunky wheels, and added some mesh. I think I may have found the perfect Batman engine as well. A little bit more modification of the shell needs to be done so it will fit though.

That axe looks a bit batmanesque... and you know what's cool? Quarter-bumpers.
January 31, 2025 at 1:09 PM
Yeah, that could work. A couple of machineguns from the @wargamesatlantic.bsky.social Bulldogs kit seem like just the thing a Gaslands rig would need.
January 31, 2025 at 10:48 AM
Engine out, and hit with some 100 grit sandpaper to rough up the paint. Then attacked with a file to create a few deep scratches for battle damage.
January 31, 2025 at 9:48 AM
Who decided to make the engine a bit of the body? Ugh, where's my saw...
January 31, 2025 at 9:14 AM
A little drilling later. Into the bleach solution for the shiny bits, and I can see what I have to work with. Next to the bit's box, draws, pile at the back of the bench... bound to be some fun stuff I can find.
January 31, 2025 at 9:12 AM
I have a thousand other things on the bench which I'm supposed to be working on, but I looked at this, and now all I can think about is Gaslands. So I guess that takes priority now.

Pure filth, apparently.

Oh, the UX is pretty bad, really bad. And it could do with a search function... But they are adding new stuff.
