Old. Married to Christine. English living in the Highlands of Scotland, family problems and disputes mean we may end our days in bloomin' Hampshire now! Not even a tiny bit right-wing. I write, give film opinions, paint and design stuff.
I like a lot of Australian films, I especially always liked Bryan Brown. I need to watch a few more, haven't seen one for a while.

He's a very interesting chap, much like Benedict Cumberbatch, despite being very famous, obviously wealthy and living a good life, seems very honest, fair and pleasant in his interviews.

My art work really has gone from poor to average over 30 years but I can't stop painting no matter how self-critical I am. I can't explain it, I have to paint.

Here's my film opinion site by the way - I get at least one visitor a month 😂

Yeah, it was 'it's my brother' for me. My site where every painting I have ever done that is photographed is posted up - good and bad -filmfan too - I write about them. Love your work by the way! Haven't found many gouache users to be fair - I really like it.

Paintings by David
A set of paintings and art created by David Strover from the 1980s to the current day. Some are good paintings, some awful paintings, you decide.

Hey Frankly thanks for the follow.

We're similar painters in a way. Style is not the same but we both use gouache and we seem to paint actors and so forth....I still haven't got one as a friend though 😂

Brittany Allen's husband did post 'Wow man, that's great' under my painting of her...

Thanks Fred, I throughly recommend it, Wain is credited with making people consider cats as pets just through his artwork. It is a funny film, but also very sad, and has a plethora of good actors, so even before it begins you know it will be good.

My old team - Swindon Wildcats - sit top of that league at the moment, the first time ever, and of course I don't watch them anymore due to my location. They've lost one game and two in OT and have won every home game this season. A couple of good Canadians play for them too.

Played some video games too. In Oregon killing infected, picking plants/shooting deer in Days Gone (completed the game loads of times so); started a game I said I wouldn't The Last of Us 2; turned it off when the scene/dialogue in the Joel meets the surgeon was changed to suit the story & agenda...

Patton being harsh and offending people?? Nah - nope, don't believe it, that is not the Patton Oswalt I have watched, listened to and read over the years.

It's bonkers Wendy honestly. I won't go into details here but it doesn't make any sense, none of it does. Weeks previously we were happy.....utter madness and sadness.

It sucks. But I don't get angry or bitter. I'm just sad.

My wife stopped me from carrying on trying to get a quick house-sale and move as she genuinely thought I was going to have a heart-attack!

It's my book now I guess Fred. I have read it but it was Kindle version so now I have an older copy - so all good. I enjoyed the book and the original film too.

Seems a bit prescient nowadays too.

We have decided to be nearer my few remaining family and genuine life-long friends down south. The main reason moving to the Highlands was to be near my wife's daughter! 😠

We helped them out financially for the dream move more than once too...

Anyone want to buy a rural Highlands house?

None of us were at all - and nothing happening around the village tonight, loved Bub in Day of the Dead though. The greatest zombie ever created and played by any actor - Sherman Howard.

Best of luck! Hopefully some of my wife's will pass over to you both. Honestly without going on about personal & let's face it, odd & probably uninteresting problems, I have genuinely never been so upset and then ecstatic in the space of a few days in my life (that includes when I was a little boy).

2/2 Bad news my wife's daughter because we don't do what she does, exploring the Highlands, driving 3 hours to Edinburgh and Glasgow every day has got really angry - it looks like we might be estranged. I think we will end up seeing out our final days in the south.....We don't deserve this.
