It just feels like the judge decided a surname is some kind of patriarchial property label that *must* be applied apparently. No real consideration of the rights of the child but the father seemingly gets to claim 'his' child. So very wrong.

I'm kinda scared enough thinking about it being pulled out that I haven't even processed the trauma of thinking about it going up there in the first place.
