Got banned from Twitter for representing 'inauthentic views' (I think Mid-Life-Crisis-Man's bots took exception to me.)
4. Unless the US deployment recently increased in size... It's not the largest aramada in South America's history.

Reinforces my statement that Sir Terry Pratchett's novels should be used in schools. The Truth would be a good one for current times.

In all fairness, you are never ready for a major war. We weren't ready for the first world war, the second world war, the napoleonic wars, we were never even ready for most of the wars WE STARTED.

The army and nation you finish a major war with is never the one you started with.

Point being I doubt its reflective of the national polls.

I'm pretty sure Reform are just using whatsapp and discord to focus down local elections where they can, I mean this is less than a 0.1% voter turnout from what I can see (Might be wrong, going by quick google) which is not that uncommon for local elections and easy to sway with effort.

I wonder how this will affect things like CES, if business people don't trust travelling to the US. Could lose US companies a lot of export revenue if this continues.

Though if I am honest I am expecting Trump to be impeached by the end of next November.
December 12, 2025 at 3:04 AM
They did well in local elections... Which is kind of meaningless because let's be honest, no one votes in local elections normally, so if they mobilise even a tiny bit of their support base by claiming it's something special - of course they're going to win.

Literally just had a toffee crisp for the first time in years, thought it wasn't as good as I remembered, but I thought it was just rose-tinted glasses.

Translation for yanks - ignore the 'almost' and 'accidentally', that's sarcasm. Just to make it clear on his behalf.

That is the most desperate cope I have ever read. Electing Harris would have specifically prevented the election of Trump. There can only be one president of the US at a time.

I'm sorry, mate, one day you'll look back at this and come to terms with it. I hope it doesn't hurt too much.
November 30, 2025 at 6:42 PM
No, it just isn't; not extending legitimacy achieves literally nothing but make you feel better.

I know you really want to believe you're doing the right thing instead of betraying millions of people - but that's just not the real world.

< ability to choose the least bad one and deal with the consequences, and the democracts were the least bad option because it would have kept power out of the hands of Trump.

By all means try and build a better world, but that doesn't remove your responsibility to this one.
November 30, 2025 at 5:46 PM
< I have heard people speak like you all my life, my parents did too, and my parents parents, and where is this beautiful world? And while the dreamers dream people still suffer.

I'm not saying that the democrats are good, but in real life you very rarely have a good option. Moral courage is the >

To clarify, I wasn't suggesting you literally firebomb a Walmart, I was comparing your position to this.

But the thing is, people can question institutions while engaging in them. You can do both. And not voting doesn't actually limit Trump's ability to hurt people, even if it's 'less legitimate' >
November 30, 2025 at 5:46 PM
Let's come back and discuss this when you actually get around to firebombing a Walmart, eh?

Maybe the world could eat well if the moon was made of cheese and every day it rained smoked haddock, but it doesn't. We have to deal with the world as it is.

How can I put this:

It's not about politicians, it's not about wins, it's not even about money. It's about human beings.

People would have suffered under the democrats; more people suffered under Trump. You had the choice to help fewer people suffer, but for your own arrogance, you chose otherwise
November 30, 2025 at 5:03 PM
So many people replying to this are fundamentally failing the trolley problem.

If you could have voted against Trump winning, and you didn't vote against Trump winning, you are responsible for everyone hurt by Trump winning.

You can run over one or three, rejecting that is choosing to kill three.

Cool, I guess I'll go shoot my neighbour down the street over it?

Has that police officer killed anyone in Gaza? Deployed chemical weapons? Been involved in the genocide? She turned up to do her job and could have ended up permanently disabled or dead from that man's actions.

At least the Tories, greedy conmen that they are, took the Russian money and in the end turned around and supported Ukraine.

They're slimy as all fuck, but I think Farage is worse.

Could you cease using bad AI-generated artworks, please? The sexy ones with Doku's armour sets were really nice, the new ones are... So desperate looking.

As much as I have years of emotional attachment to Cobalt, for example, I will never use the Cobalt veteran banner because it's so soulless.
