Retired engineer. Now a tree farmer, wood worker, musician, maker.
No longer republican.
Getting the money out of political campaigns would solve most of US political problems.
(AKA: ClintEastwood's Chair, from twitter)
But fortunately, they were not the majority. They were, unfortunately, the majority of the minority that bothered to vote. November 2026 will be very interesting. One, out of every five citizens, in my nearest city, showed up for the No Kings rally. Over 100,000 of us.

And many, much smaller countries are busting their piggy banks and emergency funds to support Ukraine. They understand the possibility of the moment, and the urgency of exploitation. It's really heart warming to see.
I'm in my 70s, but I really want someone to lock me in a cage fight with witkoff.

The strings were controlling the use of military equipment, including that which other countries paid for. Biden did not let Ukraine strike Russian targets outside of 1994 borders. This was very clearly, a mistake that Russia took full advantage of and Ukraini civilians and soldiers paid the price.

You should look at EU state contributions as a percentage of GDP. Then the US contribution is not so great.

But we could've helped with that. In hindsight, it would've been a good investment. However, at the time, Clinton was desperately trying to do the right thing and reduce the deficit.

One problem, I have knowledge of, is that Ukraine could not afford to maintain them. They were, to a real extent, a liability.

It's just like fighting cancer with chemotherapy. Of this, I am intimately familiar. I survived and so will the non-russian nations. Hopefully, the Russian cancer will not.

They would do well to remember what happened to Iran and later Iraq, when they overthrew a government in order to secure oil rights and contracts. Not that "conservatives" give a damn about consequences.

As much as I would really like to see Europe take over the responsibility of protecting Europe, I fear that EU leaders are going to face political issues as a result of government spending for rebuilding an adequate military. This may take a couple of years, but will benefit right-wing factions.

Spend time on telegram to see that European support for the US is dismal. It really took a dive with the Bush-cheney invasions, but started with Bush Sr's illegal invasion of Panama.
They now see US aid as blood money, with strings attached. Biden made it worse, by making those strings so public.

JAG would shut this down. They really don't like to be dictated to, especially by a drunk ken doll wannabe. I think even hogsbreath understands that, in his lucid moments.

Yeah, that was wild. FIA nitpicking the skid plate as a binary conclusion. But is so inconsistent on so many other rules. Max is a machine.

We can be assured that MTG is not stepping down out of personal courage or for any moral position.

Yes. Pollution seems to always be the byproduct of war. Not to mention the horrific waste and dispersion of resources.

Seems like changing the label from “hate symbol” to “potentially divisive” also makes it easier to crack down on something like a rainbow flag because someone could call that “potentially divisive,” too. So now they’ve defined swastikas and rainbow flags as equal and subject to the same punishment.

Trump has already pardoned a war criminal, serial killer, that was turned in by his own Seal team, so this is just par for the course with tRump.

It already has happened. In fact there is one tanker on fire right now.

My reading is different. This security agreement has more loop holes than the US tax code.
