There was a period when all anime was imported by one Dutch company. When DVD became a thing, they did their own translation. However, they did their translation straight from Japanese and not the English dub. That resulted in many of times of two different stories

The reason The Netherlands abolished the Death penalty (although we're still the only country where life means life), was that they recognized that the Law is human, and humans err.
