I also tried my hand at poetry recently which is very uncomfortable for me and I feel very self-conscious about. This is a first draft that I can see now needs a LOT of work, but I should be brave and put it into the world somewhere so!!

I’m a writer!! Here’s some things from recent WIPs. I’m also trying to get into painting just for fun. I’m bad at it and doing it anyway!! Here’s a small oil canvas I’ve been working on—once it’s dry I’ll go back through with more trees in the left foreground & some snowbanks & snow on the trees

Like this is actually enough to do after work!! If I do all of this I will feel accomplished and my life will continue to run smoothly, I don’t have to keep adding more things just because. If I do all of this I can spend the rest of the night taking a shower and playing video games and it’ll be ok

I drank a huge coffee and my makeup looks great and I smell like a toasted marshmallow and I bought cute shoes and I’m listening to Midnights 3am edition and I’m on my way to meet up with my wife who is going to buy me a pasta & wine spritz lunch on a patio because it’s 75° outside I am thriving

Literally yall this is the best/happiest I have felt in weeks I am sitting outside in the sun with a strong latte and a pumpkin muffin from one of my fave local chain coffee shops and I’m wearing a bunch of opals and I smell like cherries and cinnamon and maybe life is worth living????
