more versions with different colors in the background
The pink and orange version, but the background is more saturated. In this one the background is entirely orange, with a gradient from a peachy color to a more yellow/golden one. In this one, the background is a gradient from purple to gold, with the plant patterns being very pronounced.

still being held hostage by this drawing. it seems i have remembered how to do art and i'm obsessed with how well this is turning out
a half finished version of the above drawing. Malini has light brown skin, long braided hair and is wearing a green sari with golden accents and green patterns that are partially plant-shaped. Priya has dark brown skin, her hair tied in a bun and is wearing a beige salwar kameez with a pink and orange shawl. There are flowers and leaves of jasmine, lotus, and oleander on her skin, as well as pale green lichen. The plants on Priya's skin are only partially colored in while everyting else is already fully colored in and shaded. The background is a pale green with various photos of the depicted plants inserted as references as well as some sketches of the plants.

(the flowers are jasmine, oleander, and lotus because of the book titles)(and the lichen tabs are because i wanted to figure out what kind of lichen would make sense geographically)
