It is the American voting system that sorely needs upgrading. In a one man, one vote system all of this crap wouldn't have happened.

Those who live in places where they have access to news from countries around the world wouldn't want to live in a place dominated by CNN and Fox News. There's no better warning than the reality of America today.

Here for the same reason. The banning of people for not adhering to community standards because the AI doesn't understand a joke, sarcasm or parody has become completely ridiculous. At the same time, fascism and racism are acceptable. That says a lot about Zuckerberg's own standards.

Don't forget the holding back of money from organisations that try to do good, protecting the rights of the needy, cure the sick, help the poor, protect nature, and so on. Simply because in Trumps eyes those are left wing trash.

Maybe they assume the blatant stupidity of the MAGA crowd is doing all the work for them on the web. It works for me. Hopefully it will also penetrate the brain fog of the smarter GOP faithful to see what they represent.

But don't think they are less irritated by what FB has become. Maybe even more because they know what it was like before it became a playground for scammers and snake oil sellers, profiting of people's pain. And I see the older generation leave now too, advising others to do the same.

Your "older people" (me too) are mainly there because they've been there so long. They have regular contacts with old friends, which is what keeps them there. Often also member of groups with their special interests. That's hard to cut off from.
