Here's a #ThrowbackThursday post to one of my reads from earlier this summer and The Redeemer by Victoria Goldman.

This was a cracking read! 😁

Tim Sullivan's first book in the DS Cross series is The Dentist with the most recent being The Bookseller.

The series is getting a new batch of covers coming very soon!

Last weekend at the Ipswich Book Festival, @empalmer09.bsky.social and I were also honoured to interview Vaseem Khan about his novels, including The Girl In Cell A and Quantum of Menace.
This was the first time Vaseem had seen his new Q book in hardback!

Tim Sullivan also directed some early 90's episodes of the great Jeremy Brett Sherlock Holmes series, so I did sneak in a question about that 😉

I wanted a quick read towards the end of last week so plumped for another #Emmerdale novelisation.
A little underwhelming was this one. It felt like the scraps of un-novelised storylines were used to cobble this together.

A recent pre #TheakstonsCrime read was 'Wycliffe in Paul's Court'. I loved the 90's TV series and I occasionally dip into the book series. At just over 200 pages, this was actually nice, quick and quirky read.

Another recent read was the Crucible: Kirk #StarTrek novel released way back when to celebrate 40 years of The Original Series.

Much like the recent Unification short film, I felt like this book should have let Kirk rest following his death in the movie Generations.

Well written though!

A recent read was my June James Patterson.

Revenge is the second of two books in the David Shelley series and is a cracking thriller with plenty of twists and turns.

Let's not mention that I read the first book, Hunted, back in 2020 🙈

When I was bingeing the first 7 episodes of the most recent season of #DoctorWho, I also read the novelisation of last year's episode, 'Rogue'.
It wasn't a top episode for me, but this novel added in something extra that made it more of an enjoyable read. #booksky

🧩 The Jigsaw Man by Nadine Matheson 🧩

I do like a police procedural and this ticked all the right boxes for me 😊
