The parts that resonated with me: Let kids struggle a bit so they can build confidence. Let them go outside for more than half hour. Oh and connecting with them builds relationships that matter. Last but not least, after doing all this they might be more ready to put their phones away.

I think this is awesome and I commend this man. I’m glad things didn’t go sideways as they really could’ve. My next thoughts always go to what happens next- have we given up on trying to prevent occurrences like this?

Local departmenty store lady looks down judging at my two purchases and says “ohhhkay” I proceed to start to explain why I need these two disparate items then I think what am I doing ?! This is why I don’t always come here 🙄
