The issue is that if they then dart out in front of me, I'd be held accountable. Why should I be? I'm not saying I won't stop if I manage to see them, I'm saying they are putting themselves at risk.

Absolutely. Just as it's cyclists responsibility. Accountability goes both ways. If I drove in the dark with no lights on, I can get pulled over by the police and held accountable. Yet *some* cyclists make zero effort to make themselves visible on the road. They need to take accountability for that

Where did I say I want to drive carelessly? I've avoided cyclists doing the things I've mentioned plenty of times. Riding or driving without due care puts yourself as well as others in danger, and that's exactly the point I am making. I'm not looking for an excuse to mow down cyclists ffs!

My son was already doing his own washing because he never put it in the basket, so I showed him how to use the machine. He did suddenly start showering much more when his girlfriends wanted to have sex with him though...

Why should I be responsible if some idiot darts out in front of me? The way some cyclists behave on the roads is appalling, wearing all black on dark nights, swerving all over the place, being deliberately annoying, I'm not responsible for their behaviour.
