Book 66 of the year; enjoyable read, but wish I'd realised it was a continuation of characters over many previous books. Didn't leave me floundering, it feels like it filled in any blanks for a casual reader, but definitely feel like missing a lot of nuance on the longer standing characters

64th book read in 2025; was i delighted on learning that this was a prequel, no... BUT my word, it was a story that needed telling. I adore bookshop owner Fern (foul mouthed little rat 🐀) and it was so satisfying to see the seeds planted here to make Viv the character I knew from Legends
