from then on, new inductees to the Guys Night Gang have to spend an hour with Discord to make sure he can't do any notable damage to them.
a fan-redesign of primarily discord from mlp g4. to the side, just as emotive heads, is sombra, spike, big mac, and button mash. most look very similar to their canon designs. Discord has more fluffy white hair and a paler colour pallet. Here, he's clutching his hands together and staring down with a frightening look, beak-like muzzle twisted into a smile. Multiple blurred out speech bubbles surround him, implying either horrible concepts or him self-censoring what he's saying to be scary. Off to the side, the rest of the Guys Night Gang look up in terror. Except Sombra. Sombra doesn't care. Background info: the blurred images in the speech bubbles are drawings of fluttershy and sentences like 'i love my wife.' wholesome!

A fan-redesign of discord and fluttershy from MLP G4. Both are relatively similar to their official design. Discord has more white hair, a somewhat paler colour pallet, and fluffy ears. Fluttershy has darker pink hair and fluffier fur. discord is arched over fluttershy in a dark, plain field. a literal sun-lamp (a lamp with a sun in it) hands from the highest point. fluttershy is looking upward at the lamp, caught in the middle of a vampiric transformation. Discord looks pleased with himself. for context, he COULD probably cure her. But he likes all parts of her. Even the side that gets kinda bitey.

Alicorns, like Kirin, are nature gods. Unlike Kirin, alicorns always live for a very long time and can embody cultural aspects. This slide depicts alicorn anatomy and lifecycles, featuring Celestia and Luna. Both were born as rather plain looking ponies, sans their horns and wings, with duller eyes and simple manes that actually look like hair. Once receiving their Cutie Mark (in much the same way as a mortal would, but generally quite later in life; Luna got her's at 80, Celestia received hers at 150, and Twilight got her's at 520ish), they quickly grow into a more magical, majestic shape. Hair animates or becomes magickal, coat can get sparkly) and the alicorn grows to be larger than the average unicorn. This is considered the 'Princess' stage, where the alicorn is likely to start ruling over things with help. Celestia and Luna spent about 300 years in this stage. In a fit of rage, Luna managed to propel herself into the 'Queen' state. The 'sole regent' stage is usually reached with age and experience, but severe emotional distress can bring in enough dark magic to skip that. Thus turned her into Queen Nightmare Moon, giving her a major power increase over her Princess sister. Celestia, somewhat likewise, was thrust into this next form by using the Elements of Harmony. Queen Alicorns are significantly larger than most ponies, with cutie markings that lace down their legs and perpetually magickal hair. Luna's Queen form IS Nightmare Moon. Even if she ascends naturally, she will look the same. It's the details that differentiate between a dark magick ascension and a age ascension. This step can be reversed: Luna returns to the Princess stage after getting the dark magic blasted out of her. Alicorns will not reverse immediately if their Cutie Marks are taken, but will after about a month. If they reach the Pre-Mark shape and don't have their magick returned to them within a few months, they'll die. They're also mortal at this time and very delicate. A detail on 'lineages'. Alicorns, sans Cadence apparently (she's also very confused about that) are sterile. They are only found, never born or made. Where they're found after manifesting often determines their role in the world. Celestia and Luna (twins), Twilight, and Sunny were all found beside the Tree of Harmony as fillies (foal for Sunny, will digress on that some other time). They embody Day, Night, Magick (good magick, social magick) and Unity. All major factors of Equestrian society. Amore, Cadence, technically Flurry, and Opaline were all found beside the Crystal Heart in the Frozen North. They are Crystal (founder of the empire), Romance (later just Love), Ice, and Fire. The odd ones out are those hailing from the Well of Shades in Hollow Shades. They're shadow ponies, and thus male, and none were found there due to it being abandoned by most. Both walked to civilization; the Everfree Forest for Stygian (shadow itself) and the Crystal Empire for Sombra (arcane magick, negative magick). The Shadow Alicorns are a weird bunch. Greatest of them is Gaia Everfree, born of the continent itself. She is a massive winged Kirin that generally keeps to her wilds, primarily the Everfree Forest. Most of the other Alicorns have only met her once or twice, as she only shows herself in times of strife. She is accompanied by the alicorns of Sea, Sky, and Fate, who have not been decided yet. False Alicorns can refer to three things: semi-happenstance, curses, and mutation. Changelings, being horned and winged, deeply resemble alicorns. Drones are weaker than basic ponies until they mimic physical strength or copy spells. Changling Queens more resemble the Queen state, being rather tall and magickal (but rarely exceptional fliers). But they are mortal, and capable of breeding (nearly being the sole example of it in their hive). Chrysalis was succeeded by Thorax, and Thorax will someday be succeeded by someone else. Sooner than his mother was, at least; because she was really pushing the natural lifespan of a Changeling. Second is Cursing. Cozy was cursed into Alicornhood by absorbing some of Grogar's Bell, the sole example of a stable curse. So long as she can top off every so often, she'll be fine. Her Will is pretty strong anyway. Opposite to that is the Alicorn Amulet, which cursed Trixie with Alicornhood. It is unstable at best, shaving off years of her life with every day of use; and it dooms her to a quick death if she doesn't get it off within a few months. Insanity may take her first. Thanks Sombra. Last is Mutation. These are Earth ponies, through and through, but by chance of genetics they're born with a horn and sometimes movable wings. They cannot do unicorn magick nor fly. They will remain small. They make fantastic actors; Erroria here stars as Celestia in movies.

Unicorns have the fewest 'side-breeds' of all the breeds. There are some differences in their builds, such as Old Fashioned unicorns having longer hair and spooky eyes, but those aren't as separated as crystal ponies and earth ponies. They hybridize very easily. With Crystal Ponies, they make Auroracorns. With Pegasi, they make Windminders (who often have weather related magick). With Earth ponies, they make Luckies. Most unicorns have wobbly, drippy markings. They tend to be vivid. All unicorns have a multitude of magic glands, but the size and diversity of them varies. As Twilight said, most unicorns have magick relating to their special talent and basic object levitation. Unicorns with magickal-talent marks, however, can actively copy and learn thousands of spells. Traditionally, unicorns occupy noble spaces. Canterlot is primarily unicorn, being the capital, and most there are employed by government work. Many of the royal lineages in Canterlot are descendants of Princess Platinum, one of the founders of Equestria. There's a stereotype that the entire breed is a bit... uppity, one that is unfortunately proven true sometimes. Kirin are not a Unicorn subbreed (they actually have more donkey genotypes and features) but that horn and their ties to magick lead many to presume. Kirin are nature spirits, just like alicorns. But they're rarely for celestial objects (ie, the Sun/Celestia) or civilized concepts (ie, Romance/Cadence) and are usually just embodiments of earthly features. Pictured are Grass Kirin (short lived, rarely progressing past baby stage) Tree Kirin (usually older, but this particular Kirin was planted recently) and River Kirin. All Kirin use she/her and the more traditionally 'stallion' bodytype is nonexistent. Modern understandings of gender can and probably will change that. What won't change is that Kirin, like (most) Alicorns, are sterile. No hybrids exist. Kirin are born with a cutie mark, unlike every other creature in Equestria. This mark shows the feature they derive from: flowers, rocks, etc. If you look carefully, you can see the exact state of that feature on their flank. Nirik, the alternate form of a Kirin, is commonly thought to be a raging fire spirit. They're more of a deeply emotional disaster spirit, with extended periods of emotional distress resulting in their feature causing damage; ie, a river flooding or a rockslide. Plains/grass Kirin do set things on fire, though. Gaia Everfree, the grandest of Equestria's gods, is a Kirin Alicorn. Most Kirin think of her as a mother.

Pegasi come in all coat colours and textures, but tend to be most common in pastels and rather fluffy. They're not the only breed to have a 'cloud coat' but it is most common in them. Their feathers and fur are seamlessly integrated, with some having feathered manes. This is notable in foals, who lack fur and only have ugly puffs of feathers. Pastels are more common for pegasi hailing from the clouds. Those born on the ground tend to be more vivid. Gradients are very common. These are usually just on their legs and wings, but some have them elsewhere. More traditional markings are rarer, mostly found in hybrids. Said hybrids are flutterponies (+earth), windminders (+ unicorns), and snowflakes (+ crystal). All hybrids tend to be fluffier than their non-pegasi parent. Their magick gland is at the base of their wings, with thick veins leading through said wingspan. This makes them very delicate. But, with modern advancements in medicine, wing prosthetics AND a complete transplant is possible. More carnivorous than the other breeds. Rainbow Dash eats fish pretty often to help keep her energy up. Bat ponies! Not vampires. Vampire ponies (like Fluttershy) are a curse and cannot be transferred to a child. Bat ponies, however, are a perfectly natural sub-class of pegasi that tend to find their homes in cities these days. Unlike pegasi, bat ponies are fully furred. Their flying tends to be weaker, but their ability to hear, smell, and do sick upsidedown tricks is heightened. Because their eyes are so sensitive, most who wander out during the day (or live in bright cities) will wear blinds or sunglasses. If you catch one staring, rest assured that they're not staring at you with intent; they genuinely can't see a thing most days. Unlike pegasi, they're ENTIRELY vegetarian. Beans, rice, grains, and fruit are major parts of their diet. Some used to eat bugs but that's not too common these days. Velvet coats are most common in this breed.

Earth ponies are the largest and most numerous of the common breeds. They tend to have natural colour coats and bright eyes, but that varies. Coat patterns are usually either speckled or straight, with muzzle patterns being common. Their hooves are usually bordered in deep scallop fur. As the physically strongest of the common breeds, they often fulfill blue collar jobs and manual labor work. Most engineers are earth ponies, as are most farm workers. Their cutie marks tend to appear earliest amongst the breeds. Half breeds include pegasus hybrids (Flutterponies, known for their fluffy but less effective wings) and unicorn hybrids (Luckies, often patterned with a star on their forehead and zebra-esc magic). Earth ponies have magic glands in their hooves, allowing for increased tactical ability and supreme gardening skill. Crystal Ponies are an old breed of Earth ponies that spent too long near the Crystal Heart. They're crystal coated at all times, sans emotional turmoil and energy drain, with coats based off various gemstones. Families of different stones results in gradients of stone coats. Some Crystal Ponies have lines of precious metal in them, usually resulting in pure gold or silver manes. Heaviest of the breeds, obviously. Crystal Ponies always have hexagonal eyeshines. Some Earth ponies descended from refugees of the Empire vanishing retain these eyeshines; like Pinkie Pie's family, who retain both the eyeshine and hoof traits! Pinkie also has the emotive clearness of her ancestor, having severe bodily changes if depressed. Mixed breeds including hybrids with pegasi (Snowflake pegasi, best suited to cold) and with unicorns (auroracorns, who have purely crystal horns). Zebra are not technically ponies, but most zebras who live in Equestria are hybrids. Breeding with one results in a viable offspring so they're counted as a related breed. Zebras are closest to Earth ponies in anatomy and ability. But their magical glands (in their hooves) are shaped like unicorn glands, being more conical and capable of being 'focused.' They're best known for their potion making and magical weavings. Coats are usually of the same colour, just in lighter or darker shades. Eyes can be very bright. Stripes become more complicated with age, being very simple as foals. Their cutie marks match the darker shade of their coat and tend to be rather swirly and vague. With pegasi, they create 'Hornet' zorses. With unicorns, they create 'Steppe' zorses. These hybrids can be very vibrant. Earth zorses can either look like a patterned Earth pony or like a zebra, with brighter shades being rarer. They're very devout of Wild magicks, and thus follow alicorn-gods like Gaia very closely. Zecora specifically lives in the Everfree Forest to commune easier.

The suit Rarity from MLP makes for Sapphire Shores in S1. It's a white suit that has semi-random smatherings of mismatched crystals of completely unmatched cuts thrown onto it with complete wild abandon. The standing collar is a folded collar, violently contrasting the ruffles of the sleeves and pants. Disgusting.

Bit of an idea I've been fiddling with.
Badges, but sewn! And using bits of scrap!

I considered paper piercing but yeah, no.

A paper pattern pinned to some fabric. It's of the following picture's design, but designed in a paper-piercing manner that didn't end up getting used. A sewn headshot badge of my mascot, a white and pink eastern dragon with flowers all over. Each fabric used is highly patterned. All brown spots use a moody dragon print, the pink is of a leafy flower, and the white is of a gentle, shiny embossing of flowers. There's also a hard to see red fabric covered in hearts. The entire thing is satin stitched in hot pink. A sewn badge of Ralsei from Deltarune. This is my second attempt at this idea (actually third, but the first never got finished) so it looks a bit better. Ralsei's white fur is a white, shiny flower print fabric. His pink highlights are scraps from an old Lolita coord themed around Alice in Wonderland, which seemed fitting. His scarf is a hot pink sweater fabric, same as what I used for my suit of him. His glasses are a gold and green swirly print. His eyes are sequin pink. Most of the badge is black satin stitch. Some details are in pink, green, or hot pink stitch.
