We show the method is faster than normal logs for a wide variety of architectures including CPU and GPU, with negligible cost in accuracy (for linear interpolation).👇

The new Google quantum computer is very cool. But I can't help but be annoyed by the headlines about the absurd cost of the benchmark it ran. That's true, but the benchmark has no relation to problems we're actually interested in solving. Which is the big open problem in this space.
