Some Black Friday morning reading ahead of #Bears vs #Eagles this afternoon.

Navigating the Caleb Williams Experience. After last week's 3-TD game against the Steelers, what can be made of his performance so far this season?

With their 3 starting LB's and top 2 corners out before Sunday's first snap, and two of their replacements sidelined by the end of the first quarter, the mantra for the Chicago Bears on Sunday was "next man up."

How those next men up got the job done, for @wgntv.com:

Sunday felt like a “moment of truth” game for the #Bears, and just like in so many ways that led up to this game in previous weeks, they found a way to keep on winning.

Today's gamer, after Chicago improved to 8-3, for @wgntv.com:

When it comes to the pantheon of NFL quarterbacks, Caleb Williams and Aaron Rodgers were never quite destined to cross paths on the field. Still, the stars aligned for the opportunity to present itself.

What the opportunity means, for @wgntv.com:

11 weeks into the season, the Bears sit in the driver’s seat of the NFC North. It’s an improbable turnaround from just one year ago, but how exactly have they gotten to this point?

Resilience, trust, and a bit of luck, if we’re being honest. @wgntv.com

Sunday was emotional for Nahshon Wright and those who knew John Beam—Wright's junior college coach, who was killed on Friday.

"He did a lot for me and my brother, and my family. He’s been there every step of the way."

The INT that "meant the world," for @wgntv.com:

Some two-and-a-half months later, the football gods rewarded the #Bears with an opportunity for a do-over on their Week 1 debacle against the #Vikings.

This time around, the Bears found a way to win.

Week 1, JJ McCarthy finds Justin Jefferson to make it a 17-12 ballgame with 12:13 to go in the 4th quarter.

Week 11, Jordan Mason runs it in from 16 yards out to make it a 16-10 game with 12:33 to go in the 4th quarter.

Great pass pro in combination with Caleb Williams taking the easy throw for good yards here.

Drew Dalman and Jonah Jackson tag team Dexter Lawrence on the snap, while Joe Thuney initially engages with Roy Robertson-Harris.

More great tape of #Bears blocking against the Giants--D'Andre Swift's 25-yard skedaddle off the right end in Q2.

Whole left side of the line gets great positioning and walls off their matchups, then the cherry on top is how Kmet, Burden and Loveland create a hole to spring Swift up the right side.

Even though Caleb Williams was sacked on this play, love the pass pro from Joe Thuney here.

He handles Kayvon Thibodeaux on the initial stunt, then holds his ground against Thibodeaux on his next attempt when Caleb tries to step up, but is caught from behind.

Going back through the Bears-Giants film to look at the #Bears blocking on offense.

Kyle Monangai's 8-yard TD was fantastic in that department.

4 players I want to highlight here--Jonah Jackson, Joe Thuney, Cole Kmet and Theo Benedet.

Four days later, still thinking about this Darnell Wright block/Caleb Williams pirouette combo.

This is going to live rent-free in my head for a while.

Among all the madness of Sunday's victory in Cincinnati, Kyle Monangai, Colston Loveland and Caleb Williams put together a trio of never-before-seen stat lines in the NFL.

With C.J. Gardner-Johnson officially a Chicago Bear, what role does Ben Johnson see him filling with his new team?

"We'll lock him in one spot and have him learn the defense."

Two weeks ago? Vintage Bears win. Sunday in Baltimore? Vintage Bears loss.

Here are three takeaways, good and bad, to help make sense of what to possibly expect from the Bears when they travel to play the Bengals next weekend, and beyond, for @wgntv.com:

As it is often said, the NFL is a week-to-week league. And after five weeks of building positive momentum, the Bears took a step back in a loss at the Ravens today.

Currently on a 4-game win streak, the #Bears offense has featured a Top 3 rushing attack over the last three weeks.

Some examples of how Ben Johnson is scheming the run, and how D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai have benefitted, for @wgntv.com:

D'Andre Swift and Kyle Monangai combined for 205 yards rushing and 2 TDs. Dennis Allen's defense forced 4 turnovers and 4 sacks. The #Bears walk away with their 4th straight win, 26-14.

A Friday afternoon reader, my weekly #Bears column.

6 weeks down and 5 games into the 2025 season, the Bears appear to have found 4 good offensive linemen.

The fifth, who needs to pick up the slack, will have that opportunity Sunday, for @wgntv.com:
