There’s also a big problem with this in media, which definitely pushes this issue the most.
It’s like “how do you do, fellow queers? Don’t cishet people suck? Aren’t they stupid and incapable of love?”
We need to stop treating minorities like royalty, and start treating them like people. -

That doesn’t “prove they never supported us” it proves they’re just as human, and just as scared as you. All humans want is connection, and if you deny that connection, you’re denying YOURSELF that connection.

Like I get it, you’ve been wronged, and you want to make jokes at their expense, but if you’re all about being the bigger person, try to welcome the people who are on your side? You’re only going to make the gap wider, and the “otherness” bigger
