I started to get into particle effects in unreal. It's been fun. I been testing stuff, trying to see what sticks.
Currently, I have some speed line effects that emit from the player as they move. I'm hoping I can add some trail effects as well. Next I will be trying out the material editor.

Here's a video of the flying movement in my game that I have been working on for the last 6 months. This is my first project in the unreal engine and I am still getting the hang of it.
