it's not for me but the only time i've heard it when i had an actual reaction of revulsion was when i was in a chicago record store a couple years ago and it was put it on. that this particular chicago record store does not sell wilco records primarily was incredibly weird, and it was excruciating.

I missed seeing him in Chicago with Sonny Simmons in '98 by just a week or two, friends who went said it was awesome. In his autobiography, Simmons says he and Murray were fighting the whole tour. Also Robert Plant was at the show because he was in town recording with Albini. Good times.
