As in Turkey, the government is leveraging "national security" arguments to crack down on political dissidents, control universities, and fire federal government staff. This authoritarianism distorts truth, facilitates human rights abuses under the guise of preventing harm, and undermines democracy.

One recent highlight was meeting an incredible group of women shaping AI toward public benefit, at Driving the Frontier: Women in AI! This event focused on the essential role of women’s perspectives and leadership in shaping the future of AI, its governance, & broader societal implications.

Today we mark #WorldPressFreedomDay, as attacks on the media are rising.
