My new paper on "Economic sociology and the far-right" is out in the @jcultecon.bsky.social ! How do businesses promote the far-right? How does the far-right transform accumulation regimes? How is the new reactionary, post-neoliberal regime embedded in tools of surveillance and control?

After sweating these corporations through secondary, tertiary, quaternary LBOs, private equity funds will turn the cash tap off and they will fall into insolvency. The French state will be asked to step in and further austerity in public budget will be needed to pay for running operations...

France is on the edge of another 2008-like crash of its (huge) LBO market. Among the victims, many distressed corporations that should never have been financialised in the first place: elderly care home operator Colisée, medical analysis lab group Cerberus...
