As someone on the other side of the country who spent all of five hours in Philadelphia years ago and learned most everything cool I know about the city from Dan’s work, it’s a real delight to see proof that he’s held in as high a regard there as I would hope. I was concerned about the Mariners but when I heard McCade Brown had an ERA over 9, the lack of production at home made sense, especially coming off a road sweep of a divisional rival.

I can’t decide if I’d rather refer to a President as “Uncle Jumbo” affectionately or derisively.

The casual 9-4-6 on Meyer was a lovely way to wash that one down.

Aaron Williams was the guy I needed to remember. Onwards to my “Seattle SuperSonics who were also New Jersey Nets” grid.
