How do I get my own score?

It's a joke

Which is why AI is perfect for this task

Do you want to be hated as well? That can be arranged. My usual policy is not to hate people till they do something against me or my ideals. American culture and economics has done a great deal of that, but as far as I'm aware not you specifically.

I hate the country not the people, but I support limiting the cultural influence

A block list I can get behind

Red Sky

It can't be short for optional, as it's a type thus it's a noun not an adjective.

I don't think our opinions are very far apart actually. I just have slightly more value in operability than business model and you the other way around. Both are important though. I do not actually know what an ideal system would look like. All I know is BlueSky is not the worst platform out there.

There are actually quite a few social media platforms whose business model relied on users paying. Like Pre-2019 Reddit or discord. Didn't stop those companies from screwing their users over

Cohost tried that, it didn't work

We're getting into an entire topic entirely, but, while that comment is maybe a bit rude, I understand his frustration with entitled users. If you don't respect the fact that running a social media platform requires money, host your own mastodon instance.

When you opt in, it will store a hash of your profile. Then it will upload the hashes of your contacts, and compare those against hashes in the database. The hashes of the contacts never need to be stored since they only need to be checked once.

Someone higher in the thread was indeed the one who blocked my, sorry
November 19, 2025 at 4:23 PM
It's only storing the hashes of the people who explicitly opt in. If you are just in the contact list of someone who opts in, your hash will be sent to the server once but not stored.
November 19, 2025 at 4:20 PM
Well it's not but it takes so much time as to usually not be worth it, especially at scale
November 19, 2025 at 4:10 PM
Do you not understand what hashing means?
