Agreed.

Jet is the man. So underrated.
One of my Negro Leagues “hot takes” (if it even is that) is Sam Jethroe was a Hall of Fame talent. If he plays his entire career in either the Negro Leagues *or* AL/NL, I think he’s in. But he got stuck in the middle, with his stats split between two worlds.
In his age-33 season, Sam Jethroe won NL Rookie of the Year and took the league by storm with speed, gap power, and a 150 OPS+

Dang it, man. Seeing reports both here and on Twitter.

RIP Terrance Gore. Coolest Royal ever.

Big milestone for the way-too-ambitious-but-I’m-doing-it-anyway personal project: one bio down, 863 to go.

This one is for the baseball history homies.

Yesterday afternoon was the official graduation ceremony for me. If there was going to be one time I wore my Dai Nippon jersey.... it was this.

Lázaro Salazar was born 112 years ago today. I have an extended break coming up. During that I’m going to pour a bunch of time into a project that he inspired. If it proves viable, I can’t wait to tell you about it.

I adore Lázaro Salazar. Why? I think I need replies to fit that…

Excellent thread on a man who has a case to be the coolest player outside of baseball in the U.S.

Laz has been one of my favorite Outsiders. Seeing Cooperstown introduce their exhibit on Japanese Baseball, it only reaffirms my belief that there is a space for Salazar and many others in Cooperstown.

Monday marked the final day of undergrad classes for me. I will be graduating Saturday.

5 and 1/2 years of college, one Associate's degree, and now a BA in History. It's a strange, exciting and kind of sad feeling.

Doing some photo hunting....

Anyone familiar with the Kansas City Monarchs have any photos of what their road uniforms possibly looked like in 1949? I have the home unis. Just having trouble finding if they had different roads or used one uni set. @adarowski.bsky.social @buckweaver.bsky.social

This semester has allowed me to finally do something I've wanted to do for a few years now... Analog photography.

I shot and developed my first roll of film this month. Today, after several weeks of attempts, I finally produced my first successful print in the darkroom.

Haven't posted in a bit. Been busy with my final semester of undergrad.

Here's some screen prints of Mr. Stan Musial.

Was curious if any of you dudes have seen colorized versions of the unis here that just say "New York".

Trying to figure out colors for the 1949 project. @adarowski.bsky.social @buckweaver.bsky.social @bballhist.bsky.social

If only we had more cards for Negro League and Latin stars.

The list could go on.

When @immaculategrid.com added the stat tracking, I thought it would be cool to see what things look like for me with a fresh slate going forward.

Since the update, I've completed 50 total grids. Big fan of my top players.

This deserves a full blown exhibit.
Just got a great email from my research partner on my SABR presentation, Von Spalding. There was a 21st player he suspected of 4,000 hits. He purchased some Sporting News guides from the 1970s and today he confirmed that we have yet another 4,000 hit club member. I’m guessing that’s the last one.

A week later, it has been submitted.

Final total ended up 36 pages, 10,375 words. Going to give it a few days and hopefully I will either post it here publicly for people to see or send it to the few of you who I have discussed the work with and wish to view.
It has been a month since I last posted anything on this.

One week from the date it's due, everything is officially in the final document.
