I just had restart my entire home automation setup from scratch because Alexa stopped recognizing my smart plugs. This experience has made me very bearish on agentic. Home automation is a seemingly easier problem to solve (natural language + deterministic rules).

I came across this Tik Tok about delegating outcomes rather than tasks. It’s an “aha” I’m having as a new’ish leader of a large org. At first this felt lazy, then I realized a leader’s job is to create environments and systems that enable outcomes.
