Scripted and thumbnailed the Mage x Witch 1 year anniversary special and it’s going to be big, so I’m going to push the actual comic to Wednesday, the actual anniversary date, with a special upload on Monday.

Originally these were going to be flip-flopped but I’ll need more time on the big comic.

Galem and Vivian are reflected in a Magic Mirror that is against a stone wall presumably somewhere at Stranarch Academy. The Mirror has a metal frame stylized to look like threads coiling around each other with Pink gemstones embedded in it. Vivian is reaching out and touching the mirror, she asks "So what's this doohickey here?" Galem replies "It's a magic mirror that can peer into the Deepweave and show you another version of yourself! I thought it might be fun to take a peek!" A magical pink glow around the frame of the mirror shows that it has activated, and Galem & Vivian's reflections have changed. Text at the bottom of the panel reads "Warlock x Sorceress", and their reflections show Galem & Vivian with their spellcasting roles reversed (Galem now being the a dark warlock, and Vivian being an arcane mage). Vivian, looking at her reflection, says "Funny that I need glasses as a mage..." Galem replies: "Glasses are an important tool that mages use to look smarter!" After this line is a visual description of the designs, you can move to the next panel from here if you'd rather just keep reading the writing. Galem's Outfit looks relatively the same in construction, but rather than being shades of blue with yellow trims, it is now shades of black and grey with bright red trims. It also has much more pointed shapes, like at the bottom of his cowl and tunic. The Collar of his cowl has shifted to a wide open collar like a vampire would wear. He now sports some metal jewlery with purple gemstones, and his glasses have shifted to pointed sunglasses. His hair is now stark red with a 5 pointed styled shape at the front in a light orange hue, making his hair look like a flame. He also has red facial hair, styled like an evil mustache goatee combo. Vivian is wearing a long-sleeved blue shirt with a dark blue vest over it. The shoulders of the vest are pointed, resembling her former witch's cloak somewhat. The trim on this clothing is yellow, and she wears a yellow sash around her waist as well, beneath which is a dark blue Skirt. Vivian's witch hat is now a silver magic circlet with golden laurel-like winglets at the ends, and with pink gemstones embedded within. Her face is half covered up by large round glasses with tinted purple frames. Her hairstyle has also notably shifted, as while it still retains its six points, they are spread out across a much longer head of hair, going down to her lower back. Galem and Vivian have shifted again, this time they are back to their original spellcasting roles, but their original bodies have been gender-swapped. The text at the bottom of the screen has changed to "Sorceress x Warlock" Female Galem is slightly taller, and Vivian's male form has his body tilted back and his face in a wince as he laments "No way! I'm still the short one!?" Female Galem looks like she feels a bit bad as she replies "Sorry! Guess I've got good genes!" Visual descriptions below this line: Female Galem, who I will refer to as Gal-em outfit is very similar to his normal design's with a few changes. Firstly, she is not wearing bracers like Galem. She also does not have pants, instead, her tunic gives way to a dark blue skirt the same color as her cloak, and after a small thigh-gap, she is wearing orange thigh-high socks. Face wise, her glasses have rounded out, and her features have softened with a slightly smaller nose and rounded chin. Notably, Gal-em also has freckles on both her cheeks and thighs. While regular Galem has 1 small pony tail, Gal-em has two small ones on opposite sides of her head like pigtails. She also has one long swoopy bit of hair rather than two. Vivian's male counterpart, Vincent, has a face and hair Identical to his appearance in Covens & Cohorts part 10. His outfit is similar to Vivian's usual cloak, but it is shorter and closer to the body, with two overlaid layers of pointed shoulders, and some extra bells and whistles like skull buttons and a belt with metal shaped like fangs encasing a red gem. There is no collar on this outfit, instead it exposes his chest, or it would were it not for the pinkish maroon shirt he wears under the cloak. Its short sleeved, with the sleeves ending at several points. He has only one earring with a red gemstone, and still surprisingly sports a witch-hat. The mirror shifts yet again, and we see an older Galem and Vivian standing before us. The text at the bottom states "10 Years Later". Both of them are looking away from each other, blushing and thinking to themselves "She/He's so Beautiful/Handsome" Visual Description Below this line: Older Galem's robes have gotten more complex. Rather than a single tunic and cloak, he has robes overlaying other robes. He is still sporting his school's Gold and Blue colors, but there is some purple cloth thrown into the mix, most notably as a large cloak-like scarf around his neck and shoulders. The trim of his robes are inscribed with runes, and over the robes are several belts and harnesses, fasted to which are golden magical artifacts with pink gemstones, spaced with draping decorative purple cloth the same color as his neck scarf. He's also wearing a large adventurer's backpack with a bedroll on top visible behind his head and shoulders. His glasses are now upside-down trapezoid-like shapes rather than rectangular, and he wears a golden circlet embedded with pink gemstones. He has grown a full beard but the mustache does not connect fully, instead tapering off in points to a blank spot under his nose. Vivian's face looks similar to normal, but is a bit less rounded overall, and looks a bit more grown up. She wears bright red lipstick now, and has her hair styled the same way it was in "Date Night" Her hat is the same. Mainly her dress has changes, she has exposed shoulders and her top layer, while being similar in color to her usual cloak, is open down the middle. Under this she has a pinkish-maroon dress, covering her up in the open spot. She has long detached sleeves ending in fingerless gloves. Her new outfit has more jewlery, with a necklace holding her bauble and other gems, and a belt with silver metal and more red gems embedded within.

Hit a tremendous milestone today.
In the background is a cropped screenshot of the Mage x Witch comic page. The follower count, at 711 is circled. Vivian is in the foreground looking into the camera and doing a dreamworks face while holding a big gulp Galem is behind her, but he is dead, and appears as a dried up corpse with flies around him. Text above him indicates that the cause of death was eating a 7/11 hot dog. His corpse is still holding the hot dog.

LordCosmicGuy Asks: "Hello, the entirety of the Treadstrongs. Do the orb necklaces have any other functions aside from magic video calls? They seem symbolically important." Panel 1: Kaz and Vivian are present to answer this. Kaz responds: "Our brooch stones are general-purpose magic focuses with some clarivoyance properties! And all witches have one, not just our coven! All covens model their attire from the known garb of the original witch!" Vivian, pointing to her hat, continues Kaz's thought, saying: "It's why we've all got pointy hats, shawls or cloaks, broomsticks..." she trails off Panel 2: Wyck cuts into Vivian trailing off by saying "Don't forget fire!" while shooting a large plume of flames from her hand. Kaz, visibly distressed and close to the flames yells: "This is not a part of the garb!"

The taste of City Trial has been awesome but I worry that 16 players feels like too many. It works well for the stadium, but for Skyah, it’s crowded.

I feel like I’m pigeonholed into picking bulkier machines rather than gliders or more fragile ones because of the constant chaotic pvp

Realizing that Kirby Air Riders is gonna be the one game where I can really be unchained in ranked when it comes out.

I always get nervous going into competitive online games, but all my time with the original Kirby Air Ride has me incredibly comfortable duking it out in 1v15 City Trial.

I think it’s a joy con thing actually. I just tested it with a GameCube controller and it felt much more responsive.

Also very cool that they still support the Wii U GameCube controller adapter and the GameCube controller itself for games. Even the button prompts update!

Played through the tutorials in the Kirby Air Riders demo and it’s amazing how it really does feel a bunch like the original but with more oomph in the boosting.

My only complaint is that quick spinning feels a little too sensitive to trigger. Hoping there will be an option to tone it down a bit.
