but it turns out they did and they came back with a vengance

The only silver lining is that when he comes back publically, nobody can defend him as "oh hes a good critic", hes not only a disgusting pervert but also a shitty critic

Me: While a little bit better than Coco since it doesn’t really have any family insulting values that feel like Seahorse Seashell Party, THIS film fails at everything else! Like Coco, they pick the wrong character to have to learn a lesson! Ralph for 30 years has been abused and treated like shit by everyone in his game except for Felix. So WHY is Ralph the one that has to go and learn a lesson!?
All he wanted was respect. I said this on my Disney ranking video and I’ll say it again, just because the GAME requires Ralph to be a villain doesn’t mean that off hours they can’t be friends and buddies.

Okay the music is actually good as well as the animation. I also think Hector is a very strong character. BUT I HATE THE FUCKING FAMILY!
Not just the grandmother or the great great grandmother who is not that great great. “Oh you can only go back to the living if you promise to never play music again!” And if Miguel doesn’t accept this blackmail, he dies.
Even Miguel’s family hates his hobbies. The dad really despises Miguel. And the mom doesn’t do much to defend. Want to know why Chicken Little was a better film? BECAUSE AT LEAST THE WHOLE FUCKING TOWN WASN’T RELATED TO CHICKEN LITTLE!
It’s hard for me to get invested with this film before the land of the dead. The villain is just another stupid twist villain from Disney’s half a decade of stupid twists. The only twist in hindsight that I liked was Bellwether because it fits with the tone of the film.
Eh, at least Ernesto isn’t as bad as Hans. But why didn’t you rip up the picture? Like, Miguel would have lost if you ripped up the picture.
This is Pixar’s most overrated movie. And when I get to it later this year on Pixar Path, you can probably tell that I won’t be positive on this. When you compare this to Encanto, it’s like night and day. THAT film realized that Alma Madrigal was in the wrong and had to be the one to learn a lesson. NOT MIRABEL!
