I really enjoyed 'Qualityland' by German author Marc-Uwe Kling. There's also a sequel, but I haven't read that yet.

It's just so infuriating when it feels like there is no point to it. When the World Cup was hosted in Qatar lots of people in Germany protested it, not watching any Games on TV etc. There was a measurable decline in interest based on TV ratings.

I gotta admit I didn't vibe with it at all when I watched it for the first time, so I dropped it after a couple episodes. I'll have to give it another chance if I ever get to rewatch ATLA lol
