I dunno, I think some people overestimate how widespread that construction of fae is. If you're a fantasy reader or D&D player sure, but if you're not immersed in those genre conventions? To me it's kinda like D&D peeps forgetting that dragon taxonomies aren't a thing to most people.

I think both of those do a good job of simulating (ha) older immersive sims, but both are pretty heavy-handed with their narrative and wagging a finger at the player for making the 'wrong' choices.

No? I'd call DE:HR and Dishonoured more like ARPGs. They're both driven by set, pre-written narrative paths rather than being a systems-first simulation.
That said I get the feeling I'm missing some discourse here :P
