It's probably a coincidence that Ratner and Melania ripped off a score shepherded by the director of this year's most flagrantly anti-fascist hit film.

It's great news that Mamdani's administration won't end up like a rerun of Cuomo vs. DeBlasio, one of the most enervating and destructive dick measuring contests America has ever seen (and the competition is fierce)

Definitely not

Well done! There has to be at least one Eklund completist out there, and you found them!

RIP Johnson, and also RIP his secret husband Johnson

I'm told that if you play it with some of the player counts it's listed as accommodating, it's amazing 😐

John Dickerson's replacement is unworthy to operate the office coffee pot, and I'm sure she'll be honest about that too

As long as MBS inscribes a pedestal somewhere with "Look upon my Works, ye Mighty, and despair"

That may indeed be the point

This band is so manifestly odd, and so devoted to their strange vision of obtuse but hyperverbose danceable indie rock with falsetto vocals, that I'm not sure whether to think it's weird that almost no one listens to them or that anyone at all does.

I have reservations about Mountainhead, Re-animator, and most of Fever Dream, but their worst album is better than most bands' best, so I guess I'm a fan. Four of their records are jaw dropping from end to end: Man Alive, Arc, Get to Heaven, Raw Data Feel.

Hard agree. I got yelled at by Phil Eklund for pointing this out about Sierra Madre's game Erosion once (it was execrable with some of the player counts it advertises itself as working for).

In fact, the U.S. relied on the Danish military in Afghanistan and later Iraq (not to mention the work they did as peacekeepers in the Balkans in the '90s)

The Arsenio Hall show was dope. I'm sure it collapsed for good reasons but man was that guy fun to watch.

We get most of our insulin from Europe, which is interesting
January 6, 2026 at 3:34 AM
There is no EU military, & NATO relies on U.S. coordination to function even a little - it's not like we get kicked out and Europe just resumes military action together. "EU intervention" is an optimistic thought but (besides economically) won't happen. Sanctions would, & we do import lots from them

If I were a praying man, I would pray every night that the U.S. government not do that, but I will be more surprised if they don't than if they do. When you give people like these atom bombs and an enormous standing army, that's what happens. I'll subscribe with a VPN. 🤷
