Folks might not know a lot of people are getting *very* upset that the materials they request are not available in the libraries/archives they're requesting from.

Really important to stress that the Crown Jewels of the US higher education system were never the Ivies or elite SLACs (other countries have equivalents of these) but the well-funded, large, cheap, and excellently staffed public state university systems bringing high quality education to the masses.

I’m letting the news of Dobson’s death sink in. That asshole did so much damage, to my family & me personally and so many others. This “strong-willed child” is a now strong willed adult looking to dismantle everything he built and stood for. Talk about reaping what you have sown.

After watching this, I’ve concluded that all Chuck Schumer has ever wanted is to be some chimera of John Updike and Philip Roth. You could throw in some Don DeLillo for extra New York.

I’m only sorry it took me this long to watch it! And I’m sorry its 5 seasons got condensed into two, but at least we got a satisfying conclusion that brings even more depth to Rogue One (the best of the newer films, imo).
And it’s doing what the Dune movies are desperately trying to do — elevate the space opera in a mature and nuanced way. Andor is far more successful.
The viewer fully understands the stakes for the Rebellion at a personal level. The Empire is more than an old creep in a hood — it’s a system with tentacles that harm everyone, even its loyalists. Andor brilliantly complicates the “good v. evil” conceit behind Star Wars.
