A date which will live in infamy.

A quiet dawn. A sudden attack. An enduring legacy of courage. Today, we remember the servicemembers who gave their lives defending our nation at Pearl Harbor. Their sacrifice is woven into the fabric of our freedom.

Tom Waits - maybe 'beloved' is an exaggeration, but listen to "Road To Peace" on "Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers & Bastards". Written in 2006.

I cannot in good consciousness wish for the death of anyone, but I wouldn't complain much if he got karma'd like he did to 74-year-old Mary Filan. And if it was good enough for Ariel Sharon to be in permanent vegetative state for eight years, it's good enough for him. Cheers.

So what have the Democrats done for me? Besides entertaining pearl clutching and face palming - I don't see any real solutions being implemented, just talk. I'd want someone to pat me on my pretty little head and tell me everything is going to be alright, but I'd probably ███████ them.
December 5, 2025 at 11:05 AM
Maybe it's time to grab the bull by the tail and face the situation. Our little experiment in a democracy is on life support and there ain't nobody coming to save us. One of the goals of terror is to shake our faith in the ability of our leaders to do something. My faith has been shaken.

Wait - there were two people in the water clinging to flotsam for almost 45 minutes? And we could have arrested them but we chose instead to kill them? And there isn't a single damn gram of physical evidence they were drug runners and there by their own free will? And this wasn't the only one?
December 5, 2025 at 9:38 AM
Guys? Guys! Hey, youse guys! I don't think we've got a democratic republic anymore. Somebody needs to send out an Amber alert, 'cause we want our nation back. Guys? <tap tap> Is this thing even working?

If Pete Hegseth's tactics on <maybe> drug boats isn't slammed down with great and decisive force, what's going to stop the next ICE raid from just calling in an airstrike on brown people? Or, you know, fuck it - white people too? Let God sort 'em out.

Considering the sources, I will never believe that the DC pipe bomber is 30 year-old autistic Brian Cole, Jr. It seems that maybe I don't have much faith in our government institutions anymore. Which is one of the goals of 'asymmetrical warfare' aka terror aka poor man's nukes.
