I'd at least settle for a manager who supports the club and doesn't look at other clubs with deference.

Ultimately, I believe that we shouldn't fear any team. Last season was an opportunity to build on momentum and that we should absolutely aim for Glory at all times.
That's who we are, that's "The Tottenham Way" more than any specific playing style.

It seems in his view, " just who we are, mate" is a team that should lucky to scrape a point off of the big guys and maybe end up in the European places at the end of the season.

I think his affect hides it, but this isn't much different than Conte and Mourinho shitting on the club and holding up their hands like they are doing the best they can in a bad situation.

2. It's obvious that he believes (and this may be a view shared by club leadership) that our current squad is not a good team. He looks at last season and sees 17th, but can't see the parade.

I've been saying, "Frank seems like a decent, likeable guy, but he's out of his depth." I think it's time to drop the "decent, likeable" part.

This is absolutely true. If forward movement and ambition aren't at the core of your philosophy, they won't be there when you need them. It's not a switch you can flip.
