The first day of school takes a little mental preparation.

I don’t post here often, but I was kind of proud of this number at an AIDS Walk benefit. Overcoming my stage fright has been a goal for a while.

This is Felipe. When I put cold cuts in a bag for lunch, I give him a couple of pieces. This morning he sniffed them, pushed them, then stared up at me. I checked the date on the package, and realized it expired two months ago. Thanks to Felipe, I wasn’t retching my brains out at work! 😻❤️

I had never Lego’d before receiving this set for Christmas. It turns out this is a very relaxing activity, and the focus on detail gets the brain going. This was fun!

Happy thoughts today. I cleared the Spelling Bee puzzle!

This plant has been in my classroom window since September. This week a new growth new sprouted. Life is happening in my window! ❤️

This is me. 😂 But I also do find that clearing five or ten minutes in the morning with a mediation app keeps me grounded the rest of the day.

I’ve been dabbling with baking cookies lately. Today’s attempt is another batch of black and white cookies, but this time I melted the chocolate icing instead of using cocoa powder. A few mistakes happened, but I like figuring out what I did wrong and trying again.
