The Jobless Pole
@thejoblesspole.bsky.social
Former academic, now long-term unemployed. Likes archaeology, art, painting, assembling models, painting assembled models. Always happy to share my work results (all, including the good, the bad, and especially the ugly)
I kind of regret not having realistic paint schemes for such projects. I adding e.g. khaki might have helped here, but let's assume this is one used in partially forested environments.

BTW the original barrel broke off, and bent in a way I could do nothing about it. So the current, oversized one, is just an adapted runner/sprue from gunpla ;)

To be frank, I paint stuff too fast and am quite messy with it. I should have waited a bit between each stage a day or two

Everything can be a blunt weapon if one's desperate enough :D

BTW Guncannon detector has a weapon included for another gunpla set (this big cannon you can see dangling below), I think GM. However, I did not have a GM in 1:100 (nor I do now) so I decided that the Guncannon should carry it around till has a chance to give it to someone else :P

I think it was the third gunpla I painted in full ever, and I kind of got lost in it. The biggest issue I still have is the stickers not really sticking to the varnished paint. White lines I will likely repaint one day, once I have more faith in my painting skills

Don't remember exactly the names but perhaps team Aqua/Magma leaders from Pokemon Sapphire/Ruby/Emerald together? Not sure why but I love their utterly broken one-way thinking, adorably non-evil

Same, my broke unemployed ass craves only one thing, and its assembling and painting cool small giant robots

Hopefully those rules are just there to disqualify those trying to buy themselves into the competition, rather than those who are resourceful in thier work. To be frank, most cool custom gunpla builds have something third party (as far as I understand it)

May sound odd, but I actually dig G Gundam designs. More an acquired taste, but still...

Ah yes, the Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth restoration simulator made by a Swedish developer! Love it!

(never tried because the scale is so....tiny...)

The most common suggestion is to drill a very small hole in each broken part, insert a thin metal wire or piece of plastic, and then glue the parts together. However, I’ve never tried it myself

True. While there are some genres that may benefit from properly directed realism, 95% of time PS2 (or PS3) quality is frankly more than enough.

Thanks! I will check, hopefully those can be imported to Poland.
