A movie that takes place where you're from.

Here's four. I specifically avoided Guy Maddin movies, which felt like cheating had I used.

By machinations of the plot she needed to be turned back, but the scientist promised to reserve is and returns at the end to make her a woman again. Honestly did not expect the cheesecake movie from the 90s to be so transpositive. A nice surprise

Enjoying Gawain & the Green Knight (1972) starring Murray Head. Clearly low budget as far as epics go, but I dig a lot of the costumes and the wormy priest from Barry Lyndon plays a wormy seneschal. The same director remade the story in the 80s, with Sean Connery as the Green Knight 📽️
