Overdue purchase. I really like the packaging! I thought there was condensation on the bubble but it's spooky fog!

The question is whether they're coming out of the boxes... hmm, undecided.

I'll buy Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island every time it gets a new release, but I'd love my favourite film of all time to get the proper Arrow treatment: documentaries, lavish slipcase, seven commentaries from cast/crew/critics, perfect bound book with essays and production art... the whole shebang!

This is maybe the crown jewel of my Scooby-Doo collection: an Alex Toth character sheet for a background character and the "Phantom" from the new Scooby-Doo movies.

I first became aware of him via Bruce Timm and dove into his work. A famously cantankerous genius, Toth is one of the greats.

I contributed to the crowd funded Scooby-Doo fan series Mystery Incorporated a few years back. The first, and sadly only, episode is still available to watch on YouTube. It was going for the Riverdale audience and was a really fun time.

As a reward I got this script signed by the cast!

In an attempt to further blend my interests, here is an artist proof (foil, naturally) of Bloodghast from Magic: The Gathering, altered by original artist Daarken ro be the Phantom Shadow from Scooby-Doo.

It is rad and will be part of my spooky Cube.

Game pieces from Scooby-Doo Clue (Scooby-Clue!?). I'm impressed that the designers and sculptors took the time to blend the gang with the classic Clue characters. That's next level thinking.

Today's Scooby treasure is a commission of my all-time favourite ship with a special guest appearance by my favourite villain, illustrated by best person @jlawrenceart.bsky.social.

The teal walls and green, wonky door frame evoke strong Scooby-vibes. A triumph on all counts!

I bought this record a few years back and, if legitimate, it's signed by Bill Hanna, Joe Barbera, Tim Conway, Heather North, Frank Welker and Don bastard Messick.

The signatures look legit and it's a really weird choice for a collector to get signed, but I guess things were different back in '89.

Small town with a dark and/or weird secret is probably my favourite genre.

The pipeline of Gravity Falls >>> Mystery Incorporated >>> Riverdale >>> Twin Peaks is one I plan to inflict on all my younger family members.

Mail call! The Hex Girls: Rogue Thorn by Lily Meade.

The Hex Girls are an interesting case of slow burn breakout characters. They crop up every now and then but I think they could hold a franchise; the Josie and the Pussycats to Mystery Inc's Archie and the gang.

Time to release my inner eco-goth.

New book which I think is on-theme for Scooby-posting: Hello Sunshine by Keezy Young. I know nothing about this aside from that it came up while I was searching for Scooby-Doo online and the art is incredible. Looking forward to diving in (and thanks to @ylbooks.bsky.social for getting it so fast)!

Mystery Inc takes pride of place amongst the DVDs as one of my favourite series of all time. It would be nice to get a complete blu ray release.

Also of note here is the two Scooby-Doo Encyclopedias which were given to HB employees in the 90s. They're crazy rare and really expensive nowadays.

I don't have a lot of video tapes anymore, but I'll never get rid of Zombie Island, Witch's Ghost and Alien Invaders.

I've also got some of this year's Burger King toys, which are really great. I respect the stance against plastics that the BK UK has taken... but I still wish I could get them here.

I really like these stylized figures of the gang from Funko, and obviously I needed a 60s flashlight (Rayovac no less) for any eventual costumes...

I'm going to be the change I want to see in the world and start Scooby-posting.

It's crazy that the only Last Bot Standing reference we've had in toys is in the form of a super-deformed Blokee.

Rad, though.

I really love Void Rivals.

Can't wait to crack into these! @tfdesolation.bsky.social they look incredible!

Is it too late for Hasbro to release Universe Menasor?

Continuing the mini collection: Takara SF Land in Green and Yellow

I'm not the most ardent Blokee enthusiast, but when they hit they hit hard.
August 30, 2025 at 5:48 PM
Sunstreaker would be awesome; my #1 pick would be Old Man Rodimus.
August 18, 2025 at 5:42 PM
Forthcoming episode, perhaps?

Last but by no means least, I was extremely fortunate to get some great art pieces this year from @edpirrie.bsky.social, @jimstafford.bsky.social and, frankly, an overwhelming and flattering Lower Decks version of me by the people's champion @jlawrenceart.bsky.social. Thank you all!
