This morning I finished reading My Heart Is a Chainsaw by Stephen Graham Jones. This horror novel is a love letter to slasher movies, and I really enjoyed it. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I was really surprised to see a Fangoria publication in my grocery store checkout. I've never seen Fangoria anywhere other than bookstores.

It's still freezing outside here, so we're staying at home. I watched the latest Bridgerton episodes. Honestly this season reminded me a lot of Downton Abbey, which isn't a bad thing.

This morning I finished reading The Hitman's Guide to Making Friends and Finding Love by Alice Winters. It was a decent comedic romance about a hitman falling in love with a private investigator. It was fine, but I preferred Winters' more supernatural books. ⭐⭐ ⭐

We dared to brave the crowds at Costco this evening. It was busy, but I needed some PlayStation and Nintendo Switch gift card bundles for the kids. We also got some Olive Garden to take home. It was nice to get out of the house after being stuck indoors so long.

I am absolutely heartbroken that Catherine O'Hara passed away. She was one of my favorite actresses. She had so many iconic roles! I actually added a patch with her to my gym bag earlier this year. I'll think of her every time I carry it.

I'm embarrassed to admit it, but it took me until today to get all of our Christmas decorations put away. I've noticed a lot of our neighbors haven't gotten around to theirs yet either. I wonder if everyone is just bogged down by the constant gloom in the country now.

Tonight I finished reading Burn the Negative by Josh Winning. This was a fun horror novel about a seemingly cursed horror movie. The story had an interesting mystery that kept me guessing. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

I'm excited to have new Stranger Things characters in Dead by Daylight. I'm not sure which version of Vecna I like more (monstrous or hot). I like that we got Dustin and Eleven for survivors. I also got a Hellfire Club shirt for David. I'll probably buy the Robin legendary skin with rift rewards.

We're stuck at home due to the ice and snow. Thankfully we haven't lost electricity yet. We also finally watched the second Wicked, which I thought was decent.
