Oh, but there’s a version of key lime not-pie that rivals key lime pie: no-bake key lime pudding with Nilla Wafers. Not crumbs, but whole cookies, layered like tiramisu, with (or as I prefer because I like my key lime filling tart) without layers of whipped cream. And no green food coloring!

I think it’s also important to realize that the African-American Christian community, even within the United Church of Christ, has not yet fully embraced equal marriage and other LGBTQIA inclusion. 13 years ago President Obama was way out ahead of his peers. Even politicians evolve.

My father worked for the DOD for 40
years. He lived though multiple shutdowns, but only because he saved religiously did he and my mom make it to the back paychecks. I’m as mad as Jesus overturning tables in the Temple at this.

I just put a bunch of shorts and T-shirts in a suitcase for my trip to Corpus Christi next week. Bathing suit to follow…which guarantees a cold front will sweep through before next weekend when I might otherwise get to Mustang Island!
