I am hesitant to jump into this game immediately after Ruina because of the time investment that game required, and everyone says that this is the video game equivalent of CBT

If you want "tacked on references" though, iX2 is the poster child. All the BMZ elements do is convolute the actual main narrative of that game (partially because of their prominence, unlike in Gal*Gun's case), especially in the Jason DLC fight. It's also the game with this conversation so uh yeah

How it feels knowing Gal*Gun's 15th anniversary is the same year as Inti's 30th anniversary and knowing we definitely ain't getting anything for the main series

Been thinking about this post again, and I think a very likely reason for this is the variety of directors Inti has. While it's certainly not reasonable to attribute *everything* to a director, Inti has admitted on multiple occasions that directors have a lot of free reign over projects

Yeah it's likely to accommodate VR and prevent potential motion sickness. Personally prefer the way it worked in 1/R and DP, but there is admittedly some charm in the character silhouette positions sometimes

Debating whether I might as well cough up the cash for GV Trilogy box with a tapestry since it's physical only, new OCW probably isn't gonna be sold by itself, and shipping is gonna probably be expensive anyway
